TECHNICAL
ADVANTAGES :
Precast Polycrete (PFRC) manhole cover system / assembly
has been designed with integral frame of desired clear opening
and matching manhole cover, circular, square ot rectangular
and matching the dimensions of the manhole chamber of specific
design. Such a system assembly facilitates quick installation
both on busy city roads, as replacement for the existing
damaged conventional system, as also for a new sewarage
projects.
Precast
Polycrete (PFRC) manhole covers / system have added advantage
since the plastics fibres used as reinforcement in concrete
, are corrosion resistant, the useful service life of such
manhole covers is enhanced, technically, under extreme exposed
conditions over manholes, and particularly in coastal areas.

PRODUCTION AND AVAILABILITY :
Precast Polycrete (PFRC) manhole covers / system are designed
, manufactured and supplied to specific technical requiement.
Selected
manufacturers have been authorised to operate production
of Precast Polycrete (PFRC) manhole covers / system / assembly
in various sizes / designs and technical requirements based
on the technology and Patent Process for manufacture of
Precast load bearing manhole assembly using plastics fibre
reinforced concrete developed by O.P. RATRA.

Precast Polycrete (PFRC) manhole cover technology has been
accepted in india for reasons of its technical and economical
suitability , and design flexibility in respect of the manfacture
of the following range of precast products of required dimensions

Composite Manhole Cover System :
Polycrete (PFRC) manhole covers of matching dimensions and
in composite with conventional CI frames can be supplied
of desired grade, with a view to reduce incidence of 'pilferage'
of cast iron covers, as experienced by the local authorities.
Precast
Polycrete (PFRC) manhole covers :
These are available for the existing CI Frames matching
dimensions (seating / depth etc.) The user departments are
advised to provide for correct and complete dimensions of
existing CI frames while indenting for replacement of manhole
covers, alternatively they could requistion the services
of the representative of the manufacturer / supplier to
assist in taking proper dimensions to ensure that the replacement
covers required would match the existing CI frames
